Walter Frank Lukachinsky, Jr.
32 Years Old

November 14, 1953 to November 24, 1985

Walter Frank "Wally" Lukachinsky, Jr. of Tracy, California, was born in Cleveland, Ohio. At an early age, he and his family moved to Garfield Heights, Ohio, where he attended Garfield Heights city schools and graduated from Garfield Heights High School in 1972. He furthered his education by attending Cleveland State University, Kent State University and Cuyahoga Community College. He lived for a time in Dresden, Ohio, while working for the State of Ohio. A change in administration forced him to seek employment elsewhere. This eventually led Wally and his wife, Sara, to Tracy, California, where they lived at the time of his death.

Wally was always interested in community affairs and readily volunteered his services. One of his favorite pastimes was cooking, and he enjoyed trying new and challenging recipes.

Wally is greatly missed by his wife, Sara, his parents Walter and Donna Rae, two brothers Jerome and Frederick, and his sister Sharon.

Walter "Wally" Frank Lukachinsky, Jr. of Tracy, California, was co-manager of a Wendy's restaurant in Hayward, California. In the early morning hours of November 24, 1985, the Sunday before Thanksgiving, 32-year-old Wally was shot and killed in an armed robbery as he was preparing to open the restaurant for business. His murder remains unsolved.
