Keldrick went out to a local sports bar to enjoy an NBA game with a friend. While at the sports bar he had a disagreement with a young man, named Nicholas Ford, who he had never met over religion. Nicholas Ford was asked to leave the bar and after the game was over Keldrick and his friend left the bar. They began driving home and noticed they were being followed. They stopped at a light and Nicholas Ford got out of his car and began shooting at Keldrick’s car. One of the bullets struck Keldrick in the back of the head and by the time his friend could get him to the hospital he was already brain dead. Nicholas Ford was found and arrested the next day and charged with murder and use of a firearm in the car. He is currently being held without bond and awaiting trial.
